Looks like one of the PR staff from Microsoft forgot to remove a heavily damaged Zune from their display booth. Like many other show goers, one of the reporters from TheTechZone.com was then afforded a look at what the future might hold for all new Zune owners, and no one from Microsoft paid attention to him.
“We’ve just received a sound tip that Microsoft is working on its very own phone to be branded under the Zune moniker. Our tipsters inform us that Microsoft execs are in meetings today hammering out details of the device and developing strategies and timescales for its release.”
That’s because it’s a touchscreen you don’t even need to touch, instead relying on sensors to be controlled from up to 6 inches away. Just wave your hand near it and it’ll understand your gesture and translate it into a command. It’s designed for medical use, but it’ll be interesting to see what consumer applications this makes
An unmanned drone has been created that is only visible as a vague blur. Fast moving objects, such as a helicopters rotors, are invisible to the naked eye, and this new invention uses this to it’s advantage. The whole craft spins, so that there is no central, slow-moving, visible part.
Crazy fireplaces are all the rage these days, apparently. I have to admit that the Cyclone has captured my imagination. Basically, it’s a set of columns that you stick in your house that fill up with tall, dancing flames. It’s like catching lightning in a bottle, but instead of lightning it’s fire, and instead of a bottle it’s a big glass columns.
